Each round shows you a character and asks you to pick the exact color of one of their iconic features — hair, outfit, accessory — purely from memory. The game uses a custom HSL color wheel for precise color selection, and scores your accuracy using the Delta-E 2000 (CIEDE2000) formula, the industry standard for measuring perceptual color difference. A perfect color match scores 100 points per round, with 10 rounds per game for a maximum of 1000 points. Features include a hint system (shows hue/saturation range at a 30% score penalty), global leaderboard with country filtering, a Leaflet world map showing player distribution, shareable result links for social competition, and a Daily Challenge mode where all players get the same questions each day. Available in 6 languages: English, Chinese (中文), Japanese (日本語), Korean (한국어), Spanish (Español), and Arabic (العربية) with full RTL support. ## How Scoring Works ToonTone converts both the target color and the player's guess to CIELAB color space, then applies the CIEDE2000 formula which accounts for perceptual non-uniformities in hue, chroma, and lightness. A Delta-E of 0 means a perfect match (100 points), while a Delta-E of 50 or more scores 0 points. The mapping is linear: score = 100 × (1 - deltaE / 50). ## Content - [How Delta-E 2000 Scoring Works](https://toontone.co/en/blog/how-delta-e-2000-scoring-works) - [Why We Remember Cartoon Colors Wrong](https://toontone.co/en/blog/why-we-remember-cartoon-colors-wrong) - [5 Strategies to Improve Your ToonTone Score](https://toontone.co/en/blog/top-strategies) - [Welcome to ToonTone](https://toontone.co/en/blog/welcome)
